M2.2 MASTER STUDIO the architect changemaker
Following on from the last M2.1 semester, in which we produced new materials from the Euregio’s geo-resources and applied them to a folly design in terms of construction and had them in 1:20 earth models, we are now scaling up in two directions: first, the self-developed material will be built in the form of 1:1 prototypes as part of a wall structure. Here the students will independently manage the pre-planning of the construction site, the deployment and coordination of their helpers, and the execution of the prototype. At the same time, the place of origin of the original resource, quarry, gravel pit, etc. in the Euregio, which was investigated in M2.1, will be examined for its potential for subsequent use and a future vision of the networking of local resources will be materialised in the form of a productive architecture.+

Im Anschluss an das letze M2.1 semester, in welchem wir aus den Georessourcen der Euregio neue Materialien hergestellt und diese in einem Folly-Entwurf baukonstruktiv angewendet und in 1:20er Modellen aus Erde gehabt haben skalieren wir jetzt in zwei Richtungen: zunächst wird das selbst entwickelte Material in Form von 1:1 Prototypen als Teil eines Wandaufbaus gebaut. Hier werden die Studierenden die Vorplanung der Baustelle, den Einsatz und die Koordination ihrer Helfer, sowie die Ausführung des Prototyps eigenständig leiten. Gleichzeitig wird der Herkunftsort der ursprünglichen Ressource, Steinbruch, Kiesgrube etc. in der Euregio welcher im M2.1 untersucht wurde auf seine Nachnutzungspotenziale überprüft und eine Zukuftsvision der Vernetzung von lokalen Ressourcen in Form einer produktiven Architektur materialisiert.
